The Rookie vs. InDesign

I have just started my Strategic Development in Advertising class. I have been most excited to start this class in order to get a better handle on indesign and photoshop. In class, we were told to sketch an ad for a play at the High Point Theatre, the teacher that was going to be put on was Romeo and Juliet.

After having sketched to be what I thought was a great ad, we were told to go onto indesign and try to put your design in the computer to see if it would actually work. After many attempts, I found that the original plan I had for the ad was not going to work. Our professor said to stray away from our ad that we had sketched in order to create the perfect ad. We were now told to add some more information on to the page to test us a bit more. I was able to come up for two completely different ads but still for the same play. At the end of the class I was able to see that the first picture is my favorite. The first ad was actually the second one I had made during class. I felt that as the class continued I really grew comfortable using my creativity and indesign.
